Description

GS-441524 tablets for the treatment of FIP in cats

Lanzi 50 mg tablets contain GS-441524 in oral format, the same active ingredient as the injectable vial but in a presentation designed for the maintenance phase of treatment. Once the cat has passed the first critical days, regained its appetite, and does not have diarrhea, the tablets offer the same efficacy with easier administration.

More than 80% of cats treated with GS-441524 achieve sustained remission in wet FIP with a full 84-day protocol, provided the correct dose is maintained without interruptions.

Each bottle contains 20 tablets of 50 mg. The required dose and treatment duration depend on the cat’s weight and the type of FIP diagnosed.

Tablets or injectable?

Choose tablets if…

  • The cat has shown clear improvement in appetite and activity level, usually after the first 15 days with vials
  • For any reason it is difficult or impossible to inject (logistics, cat stress, etc.)

Go back to injectable if…

  • Vomiting or diarrhea appears — do not administer tablets in these cases
  • The cat worsens: stops eating or loses the improvement achieved
  • There are active symptoms that require faster and more predictable absorption

If you have doubts about when to make the switch, we are available to guide you.

How to administer them

  1. One tablet every 24 h, always at the same time
  2. Fast for 1 h before and 30 min after administration
  3. Give the tablet whole — do not crush or mix with food
  4. If the dose exceeds 20 mg/kg, it is recommended to divide into 2 doses every 12 h

How many bottles do you need?

It depends on the cat’s weight, the daily dose, and the treatment phase you are in. Use the dosage calculator to get the exact number of bottles before ordering to avoid running out of medication mid-protocol.
